Brothers' PC Business Boosts Boca Man's
Career

Robert Fellman busied himself as a teen by polishing the computer
monitors in his big brothers' computer business.
These days, Fellman, is one of the bosses of PC Professor,
along with brothers Howard and Steve. And the youngest brother's first
major initiative has been to offer specialized computer training to senior
citizens.
"I figured there's a whole market out there that is untapped,"
said Fellman, who lives in Boca Raton. "They are grandparents who
want to be able to e-mail their grandkids, and nobody wanted to show them
how."
Fellman, who graduated in May from the University of Maryland at College
Park, recently came up with the idea of providing computer training to
seniors. When he approached officials at Century Village in West Palm
Beach, they jumped at the partnership, he said.
So far, about 50 Century Village residents have received training at PC
Professor's West Palm Beach store. And the who coordinated
the partnership for Century Village, predicted many more seniors will soon
be joining them.
"Once the snowbirds come back, there will be a lot more people,"
she said. "I can't speak too highly of Robert. There is absolutely no
generation gap at all between him and these senior citizens."
Robert, who teaches the course along with other PC Professor instructors,
said the lessons are tailored to senior citizens. For example, he
demonstrates how to get higher contrast for better visual impact and how
to make the mouse respond to slower hand movements.
"I love being with people ... and they're no different from other
people," Fellman said. "I'm very patient with my students, and
they appreciate that."
Fellman officially joined PC Professor, with
stores in Boca Raton and West Palm Beach, several months ago when his
brothers made him an equal stockholder and named him chief financial
officer, he said. The job has made him one of the most successful new
graduates of his college, where he majored in finance and marketing, he
said.
Fellman said his goals for PC Professor, the
largest computer training company in Palm Beach County, are just beginning
to be realized. The company recently sold its first franchise in Pembroke
Pines and others are expected, he said.
"I'm focusing all my efforts on PC Professor,"
he said. "I want to see them all over the country."
